The Institute for African Studies (IAFS) bids a fond farewell to Ambassador Reuben E. Brigety, Dean of the Elliott School of International Affairs, and champion for Africa and its people.
Ambassador Brigety has been named vice-chancellor and president of the University of the South, Sewanee, a position he will take up this summer.
The Institute for African Studies is pleased to announce that the Office of the Vice President for Research and Faculty Awards has recognized IAfS faculty affiliate Professor Eric Kramon as an Early Career Scholar during GW’s Annual Faculty Awards. These awards recognize a diverse group of talented GW faculty who have shown extraordinary dedication to teaching, scholarship, and service to the university.
